Anyone going to be in Nawlans this weekend? My trip just got switched and I think I'm going to be sittin' there Fri night through Mon. morn. Havn't been there in a while, any idea's on what to do?

The French Quarter, what else!!

If ya like heavy metal go to the Dungeon in the Quarter, I think its on Touloise st. a couple blocks off Bourbon and opens at midnight, coolest place in town with an occasional rock star. If not Pat Obriens or anywhere on Bourbon St. is fun if your looking for ladies.

It's Sugar Bowl weekend. There will be no shortage of stuff to do. Of course you'll have to push through thousands of people to do anything, but it'll be fun! Wear shoes you can throw away at the end of the weekend! Geaux Tigers!

Hell yea, I totally forgot about that! PURPLE and GOLD all the way!!!

Well, apparently, you won't have a hard time finding things to do. There was an article I just saw about how the folks from LSU are having a great time there already.

How is it that LSU gets to play a bowl game right in their own back yard? Wasn't the BCS supposed to stop that kind of thing?

Anyway, if you're looking for some other places to go besides Bourbon Street, check out Decatur Street. There's a Coyote Ugly there which was a lot of fun, and a Hooters, and a microbrewery. I think Margaritaville is also there but I don't remember.

The BCS is the most F**d up system i've ever seen

, but ther superdome was booked for the game nomatter who was in it, and it sure did work out good for LSU - wish I had tickets!

and the Casino's are always a good way to waste time, and get free drinks

Brennan's is a famous restaurants and has a traditional New Orleans breakfast. Trivia question ... anyone know the name of the dessert that was invented at this restaurant?

New Orleans is going to be a madhouse. Think Mardi Gras but LSU fans. More LSU fans will be outside the Dome than inside. There should be plenty to do.

GEAUX BIG BLUE (Not a Michigan fan except this weekend.)

GEAUX TIGERS

Like others said...New Orleans has MANY things to do. Sugar Bowl weekend wont be this weekend but the next but I'm sure it will still be very busy with New Years. BTW...RPM your in Lafayette?

The Sugar Bowl is this weekend. Sunday Jan. 4.

Yeah the BCS needs some work but I didnt hear any SoCal fans talking about it when they were #2 in the BCS.

The Sooners will dominate LSU to win their 8th National Championship. USC had better worry about Michigan before they cry about being left out of the Sugar Bowl.

Dunno.... I could be wrong a(and often am), but I just don't see Michigan beating USC.

I think it'll be close though - probably the better game to watch because the Sooners are going to absolutely KILL LSU (sorry to say as I'm an SEC fan - the SEC was just weak this year).

Not sure if the Sooners will be killing anyone. They got absolutely SMOKED by a good, but not great, K State team.

They really shouldn't be in the championship game after getting killed like that.

Uh...Yeah your right. Expect a crowd then...Sorry.

Gotta go with Michigan against USC for a few simple reasons:

Michigan is generally underrated (just ask Ohio state)

The Big Ten is by far the toughest conference on a consistent week-to-week basis.

If the temperature is below 70 the USC players will think its cold, the Michigan players will think its summer.

Mascots mean a lot: The Wolverine is fearless and has no natural enemies. The Trojan (while being a campy name for contraception) is primarily known for buggering boys. (Apologies to Homer, and Odessyus)

GO BLUE!

While I agree that Michigan is a solid team and that USC got a lot of hype, I just see USC beating UM in a very close, hard-fought game. That's the one I want to watch.
