New BUR-based 737-800 LCC launching soon...as in on April 28th.

During my days at Vision, we had all kinds of drama. My favorite story was when we had a 737 doing a casino run from PIE-GPT, affectionately known as the "Blue Hair Express". Anywho, plane is fully loaded about to push when a couple sheriff's deputies walk on the plane and tell the captain the plane isn't going anywhere because Vision had a lien for not paying for an engine. Captain walked off the plane, called scheduling, told them the plane had been repo'd, and he needed a hotel.

Oh yeah, my home county in FL charged Vision with grand theft for not paying airport fees at VPS.

The brothers that owned that airline were shady as hell and would never pay their bills until legal action was threatened.

Turns out the magazine already has a few writers doing BUR-STS-BUR on the inaugural and no window seats are left, so I'll instead be flying up to STS in a 172 to coordinate with the tower there to get some awesome shots and also check out what's going on ramp\terminal side, looks like it actually gets in at noon and sits like 4 hours that day. Bought tickets on the 3rd/4th day of service instead when my gf can go, got 2 tickets plus seat assignments for $94 after tax roundtrip and a suite at a nearby hotel from my brothers employee discount for $44 after tax LOL. Excited for my first spotting trip to BUR, always seem to fly in and out at night never tried out the parking garage which is very popular for photos.

LOL! I heard they never paid the 767 crews hazard pay for the secret squirrel stuff. The 2 767s with the white and beige livery with barely visible tail numbers sat out on the ramp in SDF collecting dust for a long time after. I also once noticed waiting for a flight at SDF a Do328 pulling up and the F/O who was flying it out going downstairs, marshalling it in with wands, and chalking it. Didn't see if he offloaded it, but I was thinking "did they not pay their bills again? LOL".

Mrph. Your lack of detailed knowledge of random trivia from ancient, obscure science fiction leads me to question your....dedication.

Yep, just another lawsuit brought against the company. The company made extra money off the government contracts to pay their crews hazard pay, but neglected to do so. The crews sued for roughly $21mil and ended up getting a judgment of $5.2mil.

Most of which probably went to expenses and lawyers, the net result of which was each crew member got a $2 gift card to Best Buy.

Haven't had anything this hilarious, but I really wish I'd have started a journal when I was first getting into this industry.
