Need some advice...

Hey, thanks for the advice everyone. This place is great!

My dilema was solved this morning when our coordinator called this morning to tell me the trip was cancelled. I told her I wanted to talk to the prez. anyways. At this point, I'm planning on bailing unless they can pay me what I'm worth. The crap is just getting too deep. Today I went into the flight school where I instruct part time and talked to them about getting more students, and they said they'd be glad to have me.

This was an OK gig for awhile. It got me a bunch more multi, turbine, and some turbine PIC. Plus it got me some great contacts. No matter what happens (whether I stay or go), I am completely confident that I will have a good recommendation from this company. The guy I always flew with (the D.O.), is helping me out some with finding something new, so thats good.

Anyways, thanks again everyone. I'll keep you updated.

Well, I was gonna jump in with my $.0005, but seeing as the situation is already resolved....

I still think you should let your feelings known as far as how the company has treated you. It is COMPLETELY unprofessional to fail to deliver paychecks on-time as promised. It's also unrealistic for them to expect you to stay with them on the hopes that something comes up about once every two weeks. Thank them for the opportunity and the experience and leave the bridge intact.

I agree. If they're holding off on paying you, they are not treating you right. I also think that telling you, hey, don't count on flying much anymore, and then telling you, oh, we need you to cancel your plans is ridiculous as well.

I think you should have that chat with the head honcho, tell him why you're leaving, and tell him that you didn't like that. Do it professionally, calmly, and in a non-confrontational way.

The next guy may benefit from you doing this.
