Need a girlfriend?

some jobs you can only do as an E......just sayin (though same could be said about the O side as well). Either way, she isn't moving back home at age 22 which is probably a good thing :)

This is the biggest reason I never did the O path. Don't get me wrong, passing up the already promised ROTC ride might seem crazy... But, some people just like working for a living.

Seriously though, if I had gone to O path, I wouldn't have wound up where I am today. Making more money than an O an enjoying every minute of what I do.

Sooooooooooooo what you're saying is that she wouldn't tolerate R. Kelly peeing on her? Perfect, and congrats as a father! You did great! :) Serious!

Buffing floors
Shining brass
Needle gun crew
Fire and security watch
Sponson watch
Quarter deck watch (except one position)
Mess cranking
TAD to serve the wardroom
TAD to Chiefs Mess
Flying squad (note, has nothing to do with flying)
.....and quite a few other exciting potentials :)

Uhhh... no. She is very pretty/cute. But I've had coaches tell me that she they are intimidated by her when she steps on a field.
She got tossed from one game. A girl from the other team pulled my daughter down by her pony tail. My daughter jumped up and punched the other player in the face. She was ready to take down the girl and go MMA on her, but the girl got up and ran to the sideline.
I'm not so sure. Right now she says we are horrible parents because we want her to at least talk to a local coach who heavily recruited her. We've told her we support her 100%, but she just needs to talk to people about this and go in with open eyes.

If she's into sports, there's lots of beach volleyball in the coast guard. Just make sure she doesn't pull any ponytails; I hear they're ugly criers.

Thank God. Her college coach released her from her scholarship. Another coach who recruited her found out, called her immediately, and somehow convinced her that she was being rash and throwing away her talent and got her to walk on even though they have already started practicing.

You owe that guy a bottle of blue label, easy.

No boy, definitely not a Marine. We live on an Army base. She's familiar with the other options. Says she does not feel she would be a good fit with the soccer coach, wants to play D1 soccer but can't play anywhere else due to her signing. So being the logical female she went to the recruiting office and took the test. Highest score in 3 years at the recruiting center. Pretty much telling her can can chose what she wants so she's looking into Marine combat engineer. Saying she will do that, apply to the Academy from the fleet and walk on at Navy since her obligation would be finished at the other school.
Can't understand where this came from.... says the guy married to a woman who enlisted to be an airborne rigger, went to flight school, became the first female OH-58D troop commander and is now a military surgeon.
Her too, huh?

;)

True story: I tried to sign up for the Navy during my senior year in HS. I was only 17 though, and my parents absolutely refused to sign the early-in papers.

Proof that my parents love me and I really need to say "hey thanks for not signing those papers" next time I see them. :D

Sure beats the other services, eh @jskibo ?

im offering up my daughter.
18.
Into MMA and kickboxing.
Had a Soccer scholarship and 3 year ROTC scholarship, but I got a text from my wife that she called her college coach while I was on the road and told him she was enlisting in the Marines.
Looking for a sucker.... I mean a nice, upstanding guy, who is up for a "challenge".

Why do I think your daughter would be horrified if she knew you posted this?
