National Association of Airline Professionals (NAAP)

What makes me hope the former board wins this case more then anything else, is beers dues money paying for their legal fees. I'll laugh my ass off.

I guess you have nothing better to do in maintenance routing than come on and spread the rumors.

Dues money? What dues money do you think will be left? Apparently you've never seen the final bill for negotiations at UPS. Dues money....hah! But seriously, though, thanks for now supporting our activities. We know it's not cheap.

So this is what I was told:

542 will become 549.

The member airlines will be L-AA, L-US, AS, QX, EV, MQ, 5X, and SY.

Airlines will be divided into 3 groups:

Group A: L-AA and L-US
Group B: EV, AS, and QX
Group C: 5X, MQ, and SY

Each group will have a VP, and will sit on the executive board for the local.

Sounds like they are adding Envoy, UPS, and Sun Country for some reason... I'm sure there is more to this.

I wouldn't read anything into that. UPS, Sun Country and Air Wisconsin were all a part of 545, and Envoy was part of 542. The new local consists of all the airlines from both locals. No new airlines are being added to the combined group.

Why add them in anyway? What is the benefit? Why not throw 540 in as well?

Also, Air Wisconsin? Did I miss something?

One thing to keep in mind is both Air Wisconsin and UPS are in section 6 negotiations. I suspect this is why DP was kept as president of the combined local, as bringing someone new up to speed would take some time. Now why you need a local with nine different airlines is another matter altogether, and I am not going to really get to into it in a public forum. Also one baffling thing is that Sun Country and Endeavor are in the same city, but different locals.

That is not why he was kept as President. DP will do what he is told by the international. Smaller membership, 25 percent of the treasury. Nothing more, nothing less. Let's hope he can close the deal, for all our sakes. So far not looking hopeful.
