Female FO allegedly drugged and raped.

Her attorneys served the airline with a legal complaint detailing the allegations in mid-February. The airline didn’t take any corrective action, and the captain still works at the airline, and she’s scared she’ll be forced to fly with him again some day
Well, other than maybe not pairing those two up, CAN the airline legally do anything punitive to the CA unless he's found guilty?
Heck yeah. Airlines fire guys all the time without "legally" breaking the law.Well, other than maybe not pairing those two up, CAN the airline legally do anything punitive to the CA unless he's found guilty?
If the 5-0 doesn't find cause to prosecute, then I'd imagine it would be difficult for the airline to take further action. From a legal standpoint, I'd imagine the airline's best move is to put him on leave until an investigation is carried out by a law enforcement entity with jurisdiction.
There's video of them in the elevator that makes it sound like she wasn't consenting to anything.
Her story sounds believable for sure, but the guy certainly deserves due process.
Are you saying the guy doesn't deserve due process? Definitely, put the guy on admin leave and don't let him fly, but to say the guy doesn't deserve due process? Hmmm...Go tell your wife that, make sure you video the conversation.

She's a lawyer, she gets due process.
Private sector employees aren't afforded due process in the manner you're implying. Here's an example.

Go ahead. INFORM her that private sector employees are afforded the same due process rights as a criminal defendant.
Let me know how it goes for you.
On the flip side, you have this guy ... http://www.idsnews.com/article/2017...ned-amidst-his-own-sexual-assault-allegations
Forced to resign, and likely had his career destroyed after a fellow student affairs employee accuses him of taking advantage of her. Not only did the police not find grounds to pursue anything, the organization they both represent (comprised of hyper-sensitive, critical theory higher ed types) found no reason to deny him further association with the group.
Based on the write-ups of I've read on it, they had drinks and she decided to sleep with him - felt angry about it the next day (*cough cough - Aziz - cough). My personal take - her social media history and writings suggested that she likely felt that she needed a #metoo story for people to take her rants about male culture of rape seriously. Just had to destroy one man to get there - and this guy happened to be in the way.
Alaska doesn't operate a police force - makes sense to let the law do its thing.
