Just got the call from Mesa. I am hired! Now I can go home and get the ball rolling to get the hell out of the sticks of New Mexico. Now I can take part in some of the PHX JC get togethers. Now I just need to find a place to live. I hate that part. I'll be an AOG Controller. I'll be working at HQ at the what I would call an ops center that includes MX control, crew scheduling, dispatch and so on. It's pretty busy in there. Thank the lord I'll be working the graveyard. I'm pretty stoked about it. That gives us time to get aettled in and get some baby stuff before our baby is born the last week of March.

Thanks, we're going to rent till we get our feet on the ground, then we'll look for a home. I'm sitting here at the airport waiting to head to SLC and I got all this stuff bouncing around in my head and I'm trying to get it straight so I can check each thing off.

Congrats!

But let me forward you, just because it's clear and 65 degrees with a San Diego-like light breeze doens't necessarily mean it's always like that! :)

It's better than -10F with a windchill of -40.

Nice weather all year round (120 isn't THAT bad) is certainly better than oppressively hot in the summer and freaking cold in the winter :)

Would you care to pass around what you're smoking? 120 isn't that bad?

120 isn't that bad in an arid enviroment. Drink water then drink more water and run for the A/C. I'd prefer it over 85 degree lower Alabama any day! Before I experienced it I did'nt think people could live in that 120 stuff.

Oh believe me I have no misconceptions of the summer temps. If I can hadle the Kuwaiti desert during the middle of the summer, I'm sure I can handle Phoenix. Though Winona cringed when I told her that there were scorpions there!

Whoops! You know that post I made the other day where I mentioned "diverting to Winona"......you do know I was talking about ONA - Winona, MN, right???

To get an idea of what PHX is like, go stand behind a fridge where the hot air blows on you. That's what the wind feels like in PHX. It's stifling....

Where did you move from in new mexico? I lived in farmington for a bit.

It looks like I'll be spending 10 nights a month at the Marriot Suites in Old Town Scottsdale for a while....maybe a long while.

Anyone been to Mickey's Hangover?
