More Airbus A321s for Delta

Check out the new jetBlue 321's that start doing the transcons on June 15. They'll be 159 seats with pods/biz class seats gong JFK-LAX/SFO. You'll probably see 32-34k heading West to start.

The current high density 321s (190 seats) we have running to the islands have no problem getting up there.

The 321Ts are at 102 seats.

Which is virtually empty...Just speaking about the capabilities of the 321 w/ sharklets. JetBlue's high density 321 and the Mint configured 321 with 190 and 159 seats respectively would be a little more representative of a normally configured sharklet 321's capabilities.

The transcon (Mint) version with sharklets will have both center tanks, or a little over 51,000lbs of fuel. I think it'll be fine...

Stop stop stop. All of the 'baggery occurring on guard is us. I read it on the internet so it must be true.

And all of the wind checks too. Even though I've only been asked to get one once in the last almost two decades, it has been deemed an universal truism that is it us.

And we can't fly in the mountains either because we're SKURRRD. :)
This is all true truthiness of which you speak. I have also seen the 1/12000 guy that asks for wind checks every landing. Not on fifi... no need on fifi. :)

A maxed out 757 going to the west coast in the summer frequently stops at FL340 or so, too.

FL340, or so. Is much better than FL280. That's almost still in the "weeds." A small step up above turboprop flying at FL250.

But the cabin comfort down in the weeds on the A-321 beats the crapola out of the back section of the 757-200/300 at FL360!

A321 > 757 or ESPECIALLY a 73N on long flights.

Hell, I got free internet (thanks @drunkenbeagle!) and satellite TV on transcon 737's on SouthernJets, but I preferred the HP A321s with squat onboard because of creature comforts.

But . . . but . . . the sky ceiling!!!1

It's a testosterone, Tim Allen man thing. Sports cars are supposed to go low and fast. Airliners are supposed to (not be pigs) and fly fast and high.

Shrugs shoulders.

I was talkin' about the interior of the 737-900s with the "sky ceiling". It's purple lighting instead of white as far as I can tell...still the same cabin of any other 737 of course.

I don't care what altitude the thing's at; less radiation and ozone down in the 20s anyway!

That 321 with sharklets is a dog while climbing. There were times when we couldn't make our requested altitude by the first reporting point in NY WATRS. Side note, sat in a 73-900 the other week commuting home. Seat 22B, still think I need hip/back surgery and that was 2.5 hour flight.

The good thing is, they're only going to fly them for about 30-35 years.

After that, they'll be retired, and something real nice and comfy will come along.

Just be patient, they're working on the solution!

My previous post was not a dig at the @scooter2525 Clannad. :)

SouthernJetters are afraid of Juneau and I figure Alaska Air guys are afraid of anything east of the Rockies except a few cities.

I had to google that. Was not disappointed.
