Wait what?Y'all can deselect the volume on guard? If comm R is on guard, you can turn it down but not turn it off.

Physically. In the Queen, if comm 2 is on guard, you cannot physically deselect it, you can only turn it down. Are you asking if we can deselect it physically, or policy wise?
The former yes, the latter, not really.

MEOW!
Flew with a really cool, legit laid-back C/A (not the guys who say they're laid-back then give you "feedback" every time you touch something) last week and we spent most of a crossing plotting the demise of the Guard Barnyard. It's so maddening. Because you know you're just scratching whatever infantile, perverse itch they have (because they're 12) when you yell at them about it. I feel about them much the same way that I feel about people who blast up to a busy merge, then put their turn signal on to join. To wit, they should be drug out of their cars and shot on the side of the road. Freaking sociopaths. I look forward to the day when our Tech Overlords can use voice recognition to circular-file anyone's application who has ever meowed on guard.
Why don't I remember this?Physically. In the Queen, if comm 2 is on guard, you cannot physically deselect it, you can only turn it down.
I mean Im one of 3 people that wasn't terribly impressed by the 747 and forgot it like a bad habbit but I don't remember that at all.
oh my effin' god who thought of thatPhysically. In the Queen, if comm 2 is on guard, you cannot physically deselect it, you can only turn it down.
Maybe yours were broken? I mean I don't really care about the airplane one way or the other. The standout characteristics from my perspective are that it tends to go really fast on approach/departure if it has any load at all and you have to keep flying it once the wheels are down (which I guess you should probably be doing anyway). But you for sure 100% cannot deselect #2 if it's on Guard. Which it must be, by our SOPs. So MEOW. Yay.
Instant coffee??? Seriously? That sucks!Hey. Do they normally cater you guys only with instant coffee or do they just hate the leased carriers?

It's nice not doing any of that UPS or FedEx Express flying again this year. I only had to do it once in my first year. I've bid away from it since.
Of course, I probably jynxed myself. C'est la vie.
Fixed. I Didn't mean to imply your monkeyness. Carry on.
I've heard good things about Purple flying from our guys. I did Brown flying in '18. I didn't care for it. I'll leave it at that.I did UPS last week, it was prison like. I do FedEx next week and I’m really looking forward to it.
Brown crews were awesome in helping us figure out our car to bus to van to airplane transportation, but the ramp doesn’t seem like it was designed for airplanes and I always felt like I was going to hit stuff.
I did purple flying last year and it felt a lot more like an airline. Every day was the same, so we knew what to expect. Also, the catering was incredible.

I still avoid all that crap while I can.
Holy crap. Are you talking SDF? Ramp 9 is an accident waiting to happen.I did UPS last week, it was prison like. I do FedEx next week and I’m really looking forward to it.
