When it calls minmum it lets you know that you are at the Decision Altitude on an ILS approach. This is usually 200 feet above the ground. In case you don't know, this is the point where you must see the runway environment in order to attempt the landing. If you a re still in the clouds or cannot see the runway for whatever reason, you have to start climbing and execute the missed approach.
I am failry certain the "reatrd" means it is time to start reducing the throttles to idle for landing.
