Midwest NOT sold to AirTran

Mergers ALWAYS suck for the average employee.

"We're going to do your job a new way now!"

"But the new way doesn't work as well as the old way though"

"Do it anyway, we bought you fair 'n square. Our rules now".

"You suck!"

"YOU suck!"

"Ammo stab you!"

"Ammo stab YOU first!"

(rinse...repeat...)

True, but what about this:

slash routes, cut cost and employee salaries and most assuredly lay people off.

Not to mention the whole anti trust issues in this deal with limited growth, no competion and higher ticket prices.

Aren't all these factors as bad if not worse for employees then going through a merger? Private firms are baaaad!

Northwest will not have any control over us. AirTran is a completely different airline with a completely different outlook on service. If you agree that service is dead and that Midwest's policy on service is pointless, then maybe the AirTran deal is fine. But, it still will be a merger and be a pain in the butt.

Us being Skyway or us being Midwest? Sorry, this is a pet peeve of mine. It's like Mesaba, Compass or Comair saying they work for NWA and Delta.

Yeah but Skyway is owned by Midwest, so doesn't he work for Midwest? Kinda like how Compass is owned by Northwest mainline and Colgan is owned by...Pinnacle...I think I just went cross eyed...
