D. Positive Crew Check-In/Self-Notification

1. Pilots will check-in for their shifts/assignments no sooner than 24 hours prior and no later than 2 hours prior to the beginning of the first shift/assignment for a trip pairing.

2. During the check-in, pilots will acknowledge by self notification of any changes to the pilot’s schedule.

3. Check-in/self-notification will be made by one of the following methods:

a. Electronically

b. On exception basis, telephonically

4. For schedule changes after the check-in/self-notification the Company will notify the pilot.
Wouldn't I have to go on duty to check in? In which case how about I check in 7 hours prior to my flight time. I could probably hit 16 hours of duty day real easy doing that.
 
That's BS. They're wanting you to check-in from home on your computer there. F that. You're opening the door to getting JMed on your day off if you double check to see what your show time is for the next day.

On the other hand, requiring you to do so makes your computer and internet a tax write off since they are requiring you to have it. Either that, or you can get them to furnish everyone with a laptop and internet.
