Mesa getting desperate: PACE requirements down to 200 TT !!!

If this desperation for pilots continues, they may actually have to...gasp!...raise their standards!

I'm filling out my PACE application as we speak!:nana2: Guess I'm going back to Mesa. I wonder if I should commute from CVG? :sarcasm:

Since I have 10 or 11K, would I be made a street captain on the sweet jet or straight to aero-conquistador at HQ?

Dude, the FAA needs to develop that as a new rating- AERO CONQUISTADOR...

You'd be required by law to wear a suit of armor and that sweet conquistador helmet whenever you fly. You would also, of course, have to have a swashbuckling endorsement in your logbook showing that you had recieved ground instruction in swashbuckling techniques, as well as a lover endorsement showing reciept of ground instruction in the art of being suave and sexy. I'll write more on this later, but I hjave to teach some little kids now.

This is not a job poting, you still need to drop like 25K into pace to get the job. They still require 250 tt. Things are not that bad. I can not wait until I get a new job.

I'm SO going to wear the doublebreasted uniform coat home this evening and speak in a Spanish accent when I "valk eeeentoo de door dis evenink at my hacienda".

What are the mins right now for someone who does not go through the pace program?

Very Scary. 200tt? Not with my family onboard, end of discussion. Anyone who would try to justify this catastrophe in waiting can take their “quality” of training defense and shove it!

In my eyes the airline has two choices:
Except that they are not able to expand in today’s pilot market
Raise compensation to attract (I can't believe I'm saying this) 600tt pilots.

You should also be required to master the phrase, "Donde estan mis pantalones?"

But there are plenty of pilots to fill the jobs ... there's an oversupply actually! It's supply and demand!

PACE 'only' costs about $12k, give or take. If you can get done everything in 10 hours on the Baron and 40 hours in the sim, then your costs are between $10k-$12k. Those who pay more are the ones who needed more time/proficiency. Even then, the highest I've heard someone paying for PACE was about $15k.

Sorry, I did not do PACE or MAPD I earned my job by teaching, sorry I got the math wrong. Not that it means anything I am still stuck at mesa for a little while.

exactly! If you still cant put together the fact that 200 hour pilots equal lower pay for pilots, you need to take econ 101 all over again.
