Mesa getting desperate: PACE requirements down to 200 TT !!!

http://www.flightcareers.com/

Damn!

In an effort to meet Mesa's pilot needs, minimums for this program have been reduced. The program has accelerated as well - Mesa will hire 600-700 pilots this year alone!

A program designed to take low hour pilots to the right seat for Mesa Air Group.

To Qualify you must have:

200 Total Flight Hours
Acceptable Driving Record
First Class Medical
Fulfill Option A or B
No degree required
Option A - Instrument, Commercial-Multi-Engine Land

No, before you ask, I'm not doing PACE.

Which is funny because you used to talk about them with so much admiration!

I have 115-118 hrs. So basically I could be flying for Mesa by years end! If not sooner.

I just noticed, they dropped the degree requirement as well. They used to require at least an Associates Degree.

Now a HSD will do, I guess.

Dang, thats some low time!! The funny thing is the passengers have no clue you have a guy/girl with 200 hours flying you to your destination.

Thank god they're only requiring a high school diploma.

For a second there, I thought my Bachelor of Science (BSE) in Aerospace Engineering wasn't going to cut it. Phew!

Hahaha...good one! But I know that you have an engineering degree. You have made mention that that is how you're paying for your ratings while saving $XXX every month!

It was just a good opportunity to make a joke! :)

Wow...now that is low...ridiculously low!

I am 1/4 way there and I don't even have my PPL yet!

Those are the same mins needed to rent the Arrow at the last FBO I was at.

I just threw up a little bit in my mouth.
