I fly the same aircraft. The row of vertical orange lights on the flight guidence controller shaped as arrows in the center control which air data computer is being used, which HSI is being used, etc. It is customary for the lights to be "pointing" to the PF's side, otherwise the flight guidence controller would use the other side's HSI's heading/course.
:yeahthat: I was just gonna say this, but you already said it. It's different if we're in the 300 - then the FMS can be on the FO side if the FO is the PF.
