Being the easiest check ride for pilots is probably why we keep having fatal Vmc demos each year. Probably the most unforgiving maneuver you will do as an instructor.

Mixture controls were my favorite, since you have your hand next to the other one to yank back if needed, and you can pull either one and the student wont easily know which engine is back, and the student can keep his hands on the throttle like normal without you messing with them.
