Meanwhile, in Vietnam

I have a good friend who married a Hooters girl. She literally hits every stereotype of a Hooters girl on the dot. I hate her. She craycray.
 
Ugh could you imagine this on a US legacy? They'd have to lift up their skirt to show any boob.


Joking aside, it's nice to see hiring across the industry and getting some FA jumpseaters from Delta, United, and on their jumpseat form DOB is 199x. Youngsters!

Vietjet used to have a "flow through" agreement with Ahart in LVK. CFIs had the option of joining the carrier after(I think) 2 years instructing Vietnamese students fulltime. A sad day for Bay Area aviation when those doors closed.

Imagine bikini clad flight attendants on mainline US carriers. Aside from how quickly air sickness bags would need replacing, all of 'murikeh would be in a mass panic social media frenzy.

Flow through at ahart? Where did you hear that from? Just curious. I was never offered a flow nor was it ever ever talked about among the other cfis there.

I know for a fact that none of us would ever go there anyways.

Ahart was a good place to work except.for the owners had absolutely no idea what they were doing....

Our mutual friend KU we've talked about tried to sell the idea of working at Ahart as motivation to expedite my ratings and this was a big point, potential Airbus type and some time in Asia. As I was told, the owners stated that after x amount of service at Ahart(2 years IIRC), you could apply to for an expat position on the Airbus at Vietjet for 2 or 3 years I forget how long. I'd have to ask him where he got this info. In hindsight, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a lie from a member of management. But I know he had mentioned it to me more than once though he showed no interest in ever doing it.

Very shady what went on there. Great staff, but what POS types who came in and ran the place after the sale. I stayed current renting there for the last year or two before the doors abruptly closed.

I'll be hanging out with home tonight. I'll ask him about this.

I wouldn't be caught dead on any airplane that had one of our students at the controls.

It wasn't the instruction given that was the issue. It was the attitudes of these students.

It's so unbelievably amusing how people on here and around the industry throw around the word entitlement. What goes on on JC and 121 doesn't come close to the students entitlement attitude.

If KU never filled you in as to the end of ahart, I will. PM me as I went down with the ship. Actually, I jumped ship as it finally took its last breath.

I've done a lot of digging on Ahart. From what I've read around the worldwide Internetz it was a pretty FUBAR thing that happened after the company changed hands. I feel like I dodged a bullet. I was to interview there, but things never lined up as far as timing. In hindsight I am so glad it didn't.

I got on with them in November 2013. I loved it! The people I met there are my best friends and I met my finance there. That being said, every thing was horrible.

I went to a Hooters in downtown Atlanta several years ago.

I actually told the waitress that I kind of just wanted a couple beers and some wings

Ahart Aviation in LVK? I got my CFI there. Then… they wouldn't hire me… Grr. But I did a'ight.

Thats what I heard too that it was awesome to work there I know. I would've loved it.
 
On the bright side, when Ahart shut down I had just flown a 2 hour XC a few days before and was never charged. I hope it bankrupted the owner.

They do hire expats, you'd need to convert your ratings. Not sure if they require an A320 type or not.
