In 2012, VietJet Air was fined £611 by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam for having its flight attendants perform a Hawaii dance in bikinis on its inauguration flight between Ho Chi Minh City and the coastal resort town of Nha Trang.

Last May it used bikini dancers to celebrate the launch of HCMC-Singapore route/

Inaugural flights are good ones to be on, I suppose. Would be no bueno during evacuation.

Vietjet used to have a "flow through" agreement with Ahart in LVK. CFIs had the option of joining the carrier after(I think) 2 years instructing Vietnamese students fulltime. A sad day for Bay Area aviation when those doors closed.

Imagine bikini clad flight attendants on mainline US carriers. Aside from how quickly air sickness bags would need replacing, all of 'murikeh would be in a mass panic social media frenzy.

Anyway, in case any of you were on the fence about flying in Asia, this is my public service announcement of the day.

They weren't flight attendants. There were actual Pace Airways FAs onboard for the safety stuff. The Hooters girls were considered "Hostesses" and were not allowed to occupy the junpseats or touch the doors.

I've never been one to be into the whole Hooters girl thing. I find very few of them, and none in that picture, attractive. And the whole Hooters thing comes off as more trashy than sexy IMO.

For me it's more about the type of people who eat at Hooters. The Hooters girls themselves are usually fairly interesting to talk to, but you have to share their attention with ... the type of dudes who go to Hoooters.
