Dear Friends of MAXjet:

It is with deep regret that I must inform you that MAXjet filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy on 24 December 2007. With today’s fuel prices and the resulting impact on the credit climate for airlines, we are forced to take this drastic measure. Our top priority is to assist our customers, particularly those who already have begun their travel with us, in securing alternative flight accommodations.

MAXjet has contracted with Eos Airlines for seats on Eos’ scheduled all-Premium service to accommodate passengers awaiting a return flight between New York and London. Passengers needing return travel between London, Los Angeles and Las Vegas will be contacted regarding their flight re-accommodations. Any customers who choose to make flight accommodations directly should seek a refund from their point of purchase (credit card or travel agency) for the unused leg of their journey.

We have also secured hotel rooms in London, New York, Las Vegas and Los Angeles through early January 2008 which we will provide to affected passengers whose travel plans have been disrupted.

On behalf of the entire MAXjet family, we extend our apologies to you for the inconvenience. We are extremely saddened to discontinue a service that we so passionately believe in, and we thank our loyal flyers who helped build MAXjet since our start in 2005.

Sincerely,

William D. Stockbridge
President and CEO

Looks like the Maxjet newhire I sat next to awhile back is off to airline #7. Or maybe he should bail out of this industry entirely.

Unless its SkyBus.

Not even then! You should never wish someone out of a job! Why does everyone act like skybus employees are cold-hearted bad people?

They have families, dreams, and hopes just like everyone alse, and its sad to hear you say something like this. Specially on the holydays!

Just because the airline management and tactics are bad, you shouldnt act like a 5 year old and blame everyone there, because if your desperate for a job, you would take it, no matter where it is.

As a profesional, you should wish for the airline to switch tactics and treat their employees better, rather then say "ahh screw them all".

Nothing like ruining Christmas for the employees! hmmm...make that announcement on 24DEC...They couldn't have waited a week, or at least a couple of days? Couldn't they have waited until the men and women of MaxJet experienced a bit of the wonder and joy of the season with their children and families? Nice timing!

Scrooge indeed...jerks!

Um.....yeah, screw them all. They are at ProtoscabBus and sticking it to the rest of us. Not a fan of the business model and not a fan of the employees. Merry Christmas, I hope they're out of business before Xmas '08.

There are a good number of gojet people that work there FYI.

Yeahh, lets think this way, lets say your mom works there!

Yeahh screw them all then?

Even if you are not a fan of the airlines, you cannot wish bad upon people!

We don't have an issue with how they treat their employees.. We have an issue with the employees for being allowed to be treated how they are treated and thus- stickin' it to the rest of us..

Scabs are people too!!! Wahh wahhh wahhh wahhh...

Sure I can. There's no one at that level of flying experience necessary to get a job there that should not have known better. No sympathy.

It's also no surpise if that's true about lots of GoJet folks working there. Go figure...

<BTW, still talking about Skybus here just to make that clear...>
