CNN is full of bunk leads and knee jerk headlines. Ill go with this article. It seems the signal is consistent with that from a black box.

It's also consistent with sonobouys that are dropped by the dozens in military exercises.

Also, when you are trying to pull in a weak signal at a certain frequency you can get garbage at a harmonic interval. When you filter and amplify you often get rhythmic artifacts produced by your equipment.
 
Sheesh, now they are saying nothing has been identified and that the crew that discovered the signals was in a small boat using an underwater microphone type of device. Im gonna go out on a limb here and say, its nothing. Why the hell am I even watching this crap? This Don Lemon fella has got to be the worst news anchor. I need to find something to do today.

Pretty much, even if MH370 landed in PEK that day, MAS would be in this situation. We just wouldn't hear about it in the states.
 
Just caught some Australian guy on TV while flipping through channels. I have not read the last few pages (okay...the last 100 pages or so). A Chinese boat has identified a "flitting" signal matching the black box tone frequency. Apparently got it just for a few seconds about 36 hours ago and about yesterday afternoon (Australia time) picked the signal up again. That's what my alcohol-filled brain heard anyway. He could have said they detected the pings of rough dolphin sex off the coast of Tahiti for all I know.

They're sending a bunch of boats to check it out.

He also said to avoid speculation to keep from hurting the families and friends of the passengers. Crew be damned, apparently.

I had to edit this to add the guy's name was Angus Houston. He..hehe...

Another Chinese ship has detected dolphins...I mean, more pulses in the search area.
