Noooooooooooooooooo...I worked so hard for so MANY years to get that commercial out of my head! hahaha that and "TV Lenny".... haha

btw - when i was growing up in madison - there wasn't even a Culvers...and being a cheesehead and knowing the amount of fat us wisconsinites eat on a daily basis.. there's no way I'd go back and eat a butter burger... that just sounds like something that would kick my arteries harder than the cheese I eat today (as a cheesy addict! haha)....

me - I miss the UW ice cream factory.. and sometimes I miss rocky rococco pizza... but now that tombstone is all over the place (esp. in arizona)... i'm in HEAVEN!!!!!

so it is pretty easy to check out of the airports up there - I'd love for doug to be able to fly me up to/over devils lake or over the dells area.. .anyone know??

Yep- Otis nosed dived into Lake Mendota during a snow storm. I remember seeing some old photos of his aircraft being lifted out of the lake. Stevie died in a helicopter crash in dense fog after doing a concert at Alpine Valley.

I do miss Mad town cusine....every time I'm back I have to get a slice of Rocky's, a sub from Big Mike's, and a late night gyro from Parthenon's.......mmmmm!

So much insight on Madison.. I am actually from Roscoe, just north of Rockford, IL. Got my private at Belvidere back in 1994.

Found mathaire aiport about 15 min east of Madison, near where I work at Trek Bicycles. There is a skydive operation there, looking for pilots but they want 500 hours.

Going to check out Morey airport in Middleton, and also check out Wisconsin Aviation. All once we close on our house the end of this month.

I don't have the time to flight instruct much, but may try to work on the weekends a bit since I cant afford to rent.

Culvers is good. Cheese curds are even better, and the occasional friend cheese curd is good also. Cheese and beer!

I miss flying to Lake Lawn and walking over to the dog track or flying up to the Dells to visit the water parks and gamble. Might have to visit home soon

one other thing, does 94.1 WJJO still have the good morning show...? Always a good time listening to it during my half hour commute to KJVL.

That skydive guy is still looking for pilots huh?

I can't imagine why, he flies a questionable 182 and he expects you to be at his beck and call at all times. He also expects you to do the job for NO PAY whatsoever and be forever grateful for the opportunity.

Please don't bring yourself down to his level.
