Speed up which process? Call me slow, but even though I saw your post in the Louisiana thread, I didn't even realize they sent out the email to people who already got picked up for another facility. I thought it was only sent to "PUBNAT2 rejects."
I imagine we'll possibly get an invite to the next PEPC (after the Jan one in LA), whenever that is.

At the KC PEPC, they had a copy printed out for us to sign there. It was about the only thing you did at security becides fingerprinting. (Or going into another room for some questioning about any "blemishes" on your criminal record
)

Lets just say Christmas was especially good to me this year.... And a funny story too...
So I go home for Christmas and Get stuck in Salt Lake City because of Weather, well I decide to make the best of it, I crash at an uncles house, and start making phone calls. After being placed on hold and transfered several Times I get a Tour set up for SLC Tower, I figure what the heck, I am in town and I know there are more selections being made in January/Febuary, best to get my face known..... So as I am setting up the Tour, I tell the woman exactly what I am doing, Tyring to Poach for a Job, so she starts asking my background and my ATSAT score, when I applied, CTI, NON-CTI, you know the normal things....
So I show up to the Tour with a Friend and we get escorted up to the Regional Managers office and she sits us down, we do the whole small talk thing, she asks me some more questions, then, she aske me, is my Middle Initial M?, I tell her yes..... So She tells me that My name Sounded familiar when we talked on the Phone, and it did not click until she was talking to someone else, and that I am already selected to come to the SLC Tower! As my friend helps pick me off the floor, I can't stop Smiling. For the Next 2 hours she takes me around the Tower and introduces me to everyone I will be working with, and the people that will be my trainers. It was soooo much Fun. When we are leaving, she give me a phone number to call because somewhere along the line, my information must have gotten lost, since apparently I was never notified I was selected....
To sum it all up, for Christmas, I got notified I had been selected, and a slot at the LA PEPC..... What a Wonderful Christmas!

Are you PUBNAT2? Or did you just skip all the B.S. for 3 and 4 and get a LA PEPC date?

PUBNAT 2. Come to find out what happened, is there are 2 people floating around with my name. Me with Vets Preferencs, and the other one with out. I guess the one with out vets preference was the one notified about the selection. And when they realized the Mistake, they made all the changes in the system, but forgot to make the actual notification to me about it.....

Wow CONGRATS man! Thats even better then my story. I was one of the late PEPC invite guys.
Good question, in this forum I have never heard of anyone definitively turned down after the PEPC. If it would happen it seems mostly likely to be due to the MMPI or a security clearance problem, but in those instances is seems like most people were called one or two weeks after the PEPC as soon as an issue was identified, I have never heard of someone getting denied a month or two later when others started getting FOL’s.

The interview is basically a formality. At the end of the interview they will give you your TOL (tentative offer letter). It's tentative because after your interview you need to scamper off and go through Security Screening, Psychological Screening and Medical Screening. If you get clearance for all these things, your TOL gets replaced by an FOL (final offer letter) which may or may not include an academy date.
I really suggest everyone hit up the interview questions topic and read it all. Also, there is a topic about a lot of people who failed their MMPI. This is part of the Psych screening. Please go read it too. It may save you failing as well.
Finally. I feel like I might regret this. We live in Long Beach about 20 min from LAX. If you're worried about getting mugged, running out of money, having the friends you're staying with flake on your, or generally paranoid about getting stranded, go ahead and PM me for my info. Even if you want my number in your speed dial so you can call me fratically looking for directions. I am happy to help.

My PEPC is on morning of the 27th. I will be in LA from the 24th-29th.making a mini vacation out of this as well. IM staying right near the airport. PM me im down for a meet up too.
If anyone is looking for cheap hotel rooms go to hotwire or priceline. hot wire you can see the base prices for hotels outright and then go onto pricelines name your own price option for a less that hotwire's prices.check the prices on hotwire first so you do'nt bid to much. Trust me use pricelines name your own price bid, i got a 4 star hotel for $61 a night.
