Los Angeles PEPC

I faxed my EQUIP forms to the number provided in the LA PEPC confirmation email. I havent heard anything from them yet? Any KC PEPC people or LA PEPC people get confirmation the FAA received the fax/email? How soon before the KC PEPC did you get access?

They never sent me any confirmation that they received any of the forms I sent before my PEPC but they did receive everything. I wouldn't worry too much. I don't recall exactly when I submitted the E-QUIP but it was at a date closer to my PEPC than you are to you are to your PEPC.
 
I don't think they generally send out confirmation e-mails that they recieved documents. I also don't think they do anything with your E-QUIP until you attend the PEPC and clear the interview/medical, so its probably normal that you did not receive anything else yet.
 
Ok I thought the EQUIP was something that was used for entering all of our references/recommendations etc.

When do we find out exactlly what references we need? Before the PEPC?

you should have gotten or will get the eqip email with the link and stuff... It takes a few days to fill out. You only need to get the references that you would insert into the sf-85. I would begin to call around after the first of the year if you don't hear anything because you want to have that done prior to the Pepc...Doing it at the Pepc would suck.
 
1 reference for every address you have lived at in the past 5 years. These can all be the same person but they would like different people.

1 reference for every college you have attended. This can be teachers or students.

A supervisor from every job you have had in the past 5 years.

1 reference from three people who know you well...that are not listed on the eqip anywhere else.


In all, I had like 12 or so....
 
When you say supervisor does that mean I dont have to send anything to my "boss". I know my supervisor very well, but my BOSS I've never even spoken to before.
 
If I remember right, I think the form says to provide the contact information for someone who can verify your employment. I don't think it technically stipulates "boss" or "supervisor" at all.
 
With employment verification, any "normal" employment for a company is calssified as "self employment" on the E-QUIP, correct? I also considered self employment to be running your own company, but no other classifications fit.
 
Any one going to LA PEPC looking to cut some costs and split a hotel room? Im going to be in LA from the 24th to the 27th. Any one interested just shoot me a personal message on here.
 
Its E-QIP, not E-QUIP. And if you read the SF-86 it specifically asks for the name of your EMPLOYER (translation: Company name) and the name of your SUPERVISOR (translation: Your Supervisor). If you follow the directions it's relatively simple and idiot proof. IF.... you follow the directions.
 
For those of you wondering about the E-Qip...I called to find out when they would be sending out the emails for access to it and I was told that they were going to be sent out 2 weeks before the PEPC....so I wouldn't worry too much...
 
Has anyone ever filled out an SF-86 prior to this process? Do you know if the FAA can look up your information in E-QIP if you've already submitted it for job in the recent past?

I'm not this far in the process but I'm hoping when (if) I get there, they can use my existing information I've submitted in E-QIP - all of it is still current.

....probably just wishful thinking though :)
 
I will be attending on that Friday the 30th. I have filled out and released my eqip info, but have a question about the signature pages? Do we just bring them with us? or need to send them somewhere, it wasn't very clear? Thanks.

Also did anyone else get an email about Louisiana? To speed up the process if we would like to change our geo- preference to LA??
