Loooking for CFI in Houston (Temp)

Looking for a CFI in Houston area for a temp assignment. I have a private with instrument and multi engine with about 250 hrs of total time. Own a high performance airplane. Have not flown in couple of years and need to get current and finish commercial/instrument rating.

Looking for an instructor with some experience to work with me. You should have a flexible schedule and be available to fly for several full days in a row. Most of the training will take place during longer cross country flights.

Please contact me if you are interested or know somebody who might be. Please do not reply unless you are an interested CFI. After looking at some of the posts here, I don't to want to have a discussion here about general thoughts on aviation, advise on flight training or whining about how unfair the job market is for pilots. Save that discussion for a different forum.

If we have compatible personalities, you are not a nervous pilot or have a god complex because you have some rating under you belt, I am sure we can work out an arrangement that works for both of us.

There's a guy posting on here under the name BTACOLA who is an experienced CFI in Houston. Otherwise, check out this guy (I know him personally and went to school with him).

I second Rogers suggestion on the link he gave, I gave Brandon a checkout in our SR22. I am very picky when it comes to flying and like things done a certain way and he is prabably the best pilot I have ever check out in our Cirrus's.

On a second note, maybe for a first post on a forum you should say hi instead of sounding like you are a drill sergeant barking orders... I would say I would do it, but I can tell we would prabably but heads.

Seems that this site has couple of spammers that maybe have too much time on their hands. THIS FORUM IS FOR AVAILABLE JOBS and not for available opinions! I wrote the posting as I did intentionally to see if the same knuckleheads would come out of the woods with their useless comments in hand... and as sure as a morning crap after a large cup of Starbucks here they are!!! :yup:

Um yeah before you post a comment make sure there isn't a picture of a jetblue pilot doing rated X stuff.

Who has too much time on their hands?

So you are a troll..... And if you dont like getting opinions on a public forum, them you are in for a world of hurt!

No offense, but 180 views and no one biting in this economy should tell you something. You're on a forum with lots of people who are well established in the industry, and aren't going to deal with somebody who wants to be a "know it all". We may not all me MENSA quality, but we're smart enough to know that it starts with demands on training schedules, then bleeds over into how we're supposed to train you.

Comments which I'm sure are enticing to CFIs all over Houston.

"Brendan has no money, no responsibilities and a severe case of wanderlust. He figured jetting around for a month would pass the time, but he couldn’t swing the ticket."

I guess this explains it all. Seriously Rosstafari it sounds like you have some issues!

Yeah, they know who I am. I ended up with tens of thousands of readers and hung out with the guys running one of the most popular magazines in the country and the senior leadership of one of the fastest growing airlines in the world. I was covered in the news internationally, got to meet a lot of interesting people, and didn't pay a dime for it. How'd you spend your September?

Mods, think it's time to lock this thread down.

Dude, that's pretty cool!

Thanks man. I got to bump into a couple of JCers, including the illustrious Doug Taylor in PHX, who brought me a burrito in exchange for a Wired shirt. Hey, if you're ever in SEA, I've still got a couple of Wired hats left.

Cool, I'll let you know if I make it up that way.

FYI- this HAS to be the same guy as the previous "MENSA" post- JUST INCASE IT was not clear. The name of the guy on the other post was TEDWRIGHT.... this guys name is TIGH as in TedwrIGHt.... THought MENSA or NAMBLA or whatever organization you are in would have "outsmarted" the rest of us... or does this mean I'm now qualified to join MENSA?

I am no longer interested in this part time position. THANK YOU! Good day to you sir!

I like how you are telling the instructor that most of the training will take place on long cross countries. I think that is something the instructor will decide!
