Well, the job hunt for steady work is still going. It's been 8 months of contract flying after being laid off, and I want something more stable. Last month I worked a total of 2 days. Ugghhhh. So, if anyone has any suggestions, let me hear them. I have been responding to a few of the posts in the jobs section here, and putting resumes in at some of the big orange postings, but I never hear anything back. Most of the adds specifically say "NO CALLS." So my only bet is to hope my resume some how sticks out. But my times aren't all that high. What baffles me, is some of the places I apply at, I am well above the mins, and still no responses. I have been toying with the idea of getting out of aviation for a while until things pick back up. But I am not quite ready to give up just yet. Thanks.

Times are approximate:
TT:2400
ME:600
Turbine:60
ATP MEL, COMM SEL

PA31 Single pilot :400
International experince
Current 8710's in PA31 and LJ31.

Don't have any leads, but flying for a FedEx Feeder or Flight instructing is pretty stable. Check out caravanpilots.com

Don't have any leads either, but just for the benefit of the group are you still pretty tied to the SoCal area?

Without going back and searching your post history, are you against regionals or going back to night freight?

At this point, no. A move out of state would actually be nice. But it would be nice to find something that would support a family. I know thats a long shot with my times, but hope is a good thing.

Been shooting my resume off to all the freight companies. Even have left Sherry a few messages at that freight company. No dice. I think I'm doing it wrong or something. I actually had a dialouge with a recutier from Airnet a while back. He wanted me to come out and interview the week of x-mas. I couldn't afford the ticket, and told him I'd call him back after the holidays. I left him numerous messages, and no dice there either.

I have never done night freight. I've tried, just never can get anything decent hooked up.

Are you or have you been in the military? with those times I know of a company... need a security clearance though.

AirNet is still hiring.

Can't get a reply. I even talked to the guy back in december and was invited to an interview, but didn't have the money for an interview. I was never able to re-establish communication with him. I tried for about three weeks.

if you are interested in moving to puerto rico, i know of several cargo companies down here who are hiring. also, word is Cape Air is hiring as well.

You have to keep calling Sheri till she actually answers the phone. Leaving a message is typically not enough with her busy schedule. You can talk to her about Lear 35s if you like and you will be on her good side. Then again I have never seen a bad side.

I thought they try to put you on their system to fly you for an interview...

have you tried sending your card along with your resume or even "not emailing it" it is easy to delete an email but if you fax it you can call and see if they received it. Or mail it like old times. Are you sending out a cover letter I found that helped by at least 50%

Yup. E-mail's, faxes, phones calls and cover letters. I do all of them.
