Looking for work in AZ/Phoenix Area

Looking for work in AZ if any is available. Commercial ASEL, IR, Complex/High Performance Endorsements, expired CFI/II (won't really get me an instructing job :) ), and plan on getting the Multi add-on once the imaging season is over. Will have over 2000 TT, 30 hrs short on night for 135 IFR mins.

If anyone knows or hears anything that might be up my alley I would very much appreciate the help. Thanks in advance.

Does anybody know of any work in the Phoenix area? I have 1300 total and Part 135 mins. I would like to fly something with two engines or at least one turbine! Thanks.

I heard Empire is hiring Caravan pilots for their Phoenix base. I don't have the mins, but it sounds like you do.

My lips are sealed.

But there are people in the PHX area that can help, so keep asking questions and keep your ears open!

Yes, I applied through the orange site. And my big ears are wide open :) I do have my AMEL and am getting closer to 135 mins on night time. Flying for the Arizona Skyhawks right now. Fun stuff but it's sporadic. Keeps me airborne though which is all I can ask really. Thanks for looking out for me though. I really do love this site for all the info it provides.

Yeah, I worked for them back in '08. Not looking to make a move right now. Just finished being on the road for 7 months straight doing survey work. Fun job, just not my cup of tea being away from the wife that long. I'm making due with the skydive demos and working towards getting that 100 night, but would love something more permanent. Thanks for the info on Maverick. I think they might have called me a couple months ago. Someone from Vegas area did. Oh well, can't remember.

Sorry to stray off topic, but I will trade you your night time you need for some of your TT :) I have 460 TT and 80 night I think lol. I need another 600 hours to get another job so let's work out a deal. Good luck BTW.

Wow, considering that I'm moving to Phoenix next week to try and find a job, you guys aren't reassuring me that my move will be successful. Is the job market pretty bad out there right now?

No, I don't think it's necessarily bad. There always seems to be hiring of instructors. I'd do that if I hadn't been stupid enough to let my CFI certs expire. I'm sure there are jobs out there depending on your qualifications, and I'm sure someone on here would be able to hook you up.

just because you expired...it surely isnt the end of the world. All you have to do to reinstate them is to retake ANY 1 (one) of the rides in which you held a instructor rating in. That 1 ride will reinstate all of your CFI ratings.

The easiest one would be the double "I". Hell you could even do that one in a sim!

....where there is a will...there is a way.

Guess you just have to WANT it.

Oh for sure, I know that. I have the "I". When I get the money saved up I fully intend on getting the MEI to reinstate the other two. Oh, but the money....

I know a bunch of people who left other instructing gigs to work for them....even a few who enjoy it so much they dont want to leave for a better opportunity making 30% more money.

Are they serving crack in the instructor lounge or something? Who in their right mind wouldn't want to leave for a better opportunity and more money?
