The thing is, money isn't everything. Transpac has a good schedule, the money is always on time, comparable benefits, and a management that takes care of their workforce. It's a good place to work that some people really enjoy the life they've made with it there. It really isn't for everyone. Are they serving crack in the instructor lounge or something? Who in their right mind wouldn't want to leave for a better opportunity and more money?
It's the same way I think I felt at UND Aerospace. I really enjoyed the people, the students, and overall the management. We had arguments back and forth, but overall we came together to work out solutions. The final thing for me there was the pay. Some people can really make it or break it based off of their lead. I had the hardest time getting a consistent, or acceptable paycheck. The benefits were also not ideal.
Transpac has an acceptable base salary and good benefits. I would think that IFTA might be better just based on salary, but at the same time Phoenix has more to offer than Bakersfield. Really depends on the person, and there are quite a few people leaving Transpac. That doesn't mean there aren't quite a few staying.
