[logshare.com] this is what about 5 hours gets you

It takes alot more than getting paid, to be a Professional.

Just one mans opinion though.

I see no great value in busting the kids balls about it. Unless of course it makes you feel superior. Friendly advice is not what I have witnessed here.

i had excel, but the time spent for logshare is cool because it's backed up for you somewhere remote.

I guess I could have just uploaded to my webspace too...but.

what really sucks is that my paper book is 0.1 more than logshare, and I can't find the discrepancy.

"I don't plan on flying for a living anymore."

Wonderful words! That's been my goal all along, is to convince half of you, the starry eyed idealists who are captured by "the dream" to go find a better career.

This will greatly improve the aviation career for those called to do it!

How does a thread started by someone else sharing his logshare logbook turn into trying to tell this kid how to fly and how to live his flying life I'll never understand

Since you've never contributed to thread creep yourself.... (where is that sarcasm tag?... ahh, yeah, here it is... :sarcasm: ) :) I'll try to spell it out for you. :buck:

It started out as "Hey look at this Internet resource I'm using!" From there we witnessed a brief feint towards "I have a better idea, use this program", and then a definite swerve towards "Hey, look at MY logbook!" Well, when we're not just looking at the software and its features but we're now comparing hours and airplanes and such, one logbook stood out as a little different, so somebody commented. The other guy took it a little personal, and then someone else pointed out a discrepancy in his posts and... well, then it focused on the kid's dual received.

As thread creep goes, this was pretty tame. Nobody has talked about PFT ... no, wait, there was that stream reamark... well, anyway, I've seen lots worse.

But now we have to answer the question, "Do posts about thread creep themselves constitute thread creep?"

I guess we'll have to resolve that issue before we can get back on topic.

:)

I'll go against the grain and say it's great citation kid has logged all that time.

Yeah, it figures you'd support a fellow member of the "I was in FLYING" club, douchebag. ;) :D

Although Alex does not need my help in backing him up I am going to back him up. I know Alex personally, and there are only a handfull here that can say they know him personally. I have flown a Navajo with Alex and I can attest to his skill level. Alex has had some great opportunities to fly many different airplanes including turbo props and turbojets. Alex's knowledge of these aircraft match his skill level.

If Alex were to decide to fly for a living he would have no problem while being evaluated for the job. I can say this because I have flown with him, and I know him personally. If you want to see what privilage can do for you look at this month's issue of AOPA's Fight Training in the Why We Fly section. Will you hate this youngster too because he is lucky enough to fly a L-39, Extra 300, and other cool aircraft that you may never get to fly?
