Hey everybody. If you've ever considered putting your logbook in electronic form, check it out. Also, if you decide you like it and want to buy, they have a very cool incentive called Refer-a-Friend, which gets you $10 credit for anybody that uses your code. My code is at the bottom if you decide to buy, and I thank you in advance if you do use it! Hopefully, 7 other pilots will use my code. Again, thanks!

Electronic pilot logbook that you can cut and dice. It'll even tell you if you are current! I bought it a couple of months ago to help me add-up flight hours when answering specific pilot job application questions. It's great! Downloads online. No waiting for shipping. You start using it immediately. They let you review it with a 50 entry limit before buying.
If you are career pilot oriented, Logbook Pro takes the nightmare out of figuring out, line by line, entry by entry, green box by green box, the job application questions thrown at you from prospective employers regarding your flight time. For example, one regional airline wanted total multi-engine pilot-in-command (PIC) time, but did not want my flight instructor PIC time in multi-engine. Huh?! I don't know about you, but my paper-bound Jeppesen Professional Pilot Logbook doesn't separate it. Talk about a headache. It was that particular question which made me throw up my hands and shop for logbook software. With Logbook Pro, you dice it up any way you want. If a prospective employer wants to know how many hours PIC you have flown aerobatic in a Grob 103 sailplane between March 5, 2000 and July 23, 2003, then all you have to do is pick the parameters and let the software kick out the numbers for you. Clic, click, click, and you're done. I tried doing it with pen and calculator prior to buying the Logbook Pro program. Impossible. Have you done some pilot job applications? There are very specific items that the paper-bound logbook didn't have little green boxes for...
If you're not career pilot oriented and just fly for leisure/pleasure, it's a perfect way to back-up your paper logbook. There are too many horror stories about good pilots that had their logbooks lost or stolen and the nightmare of trying to recover the information. You simply save a backup to a disc and toss the disc in your car, work desk, safety deposit box, dog house, whatever. It also makes buying renter's and owner's insurance easy since the insurance questionnaire asks a bunch of specific logbook questions.
If you decide to buy, here's my promotional code and the email that NC Software will send to you if you sign up for Refer-a-Friend. Thanks! If 7 people buy it using the my Refer-a-Friend, then I'm basically using it for free. You can do the same! Kinda cool, eh?! Now, if only the fuel truck would implement the same program...
