Light Twin First Officer

If you want to fly a PA31 that bad, go fly freight in one.

Yep, might as well get paid minimum wage while finding your own way to training, and doubling up in the Ramada lol. This job posting reminds me why I look back and get mad at taking jobs like that.

Saw an ad for this gig on a different website today . . . that one had some additional clauses as well:

- First Officer position training contract $20,000. Financing options available
- Flight Pay $12/ per block hour

I'm getting a sense of deja vu all of the sudden :bounce:

Anybody can make a jackass job posting, that doesn't mean a thing. Now if they had applicants lined out the door, yeah. But I very much doubt they do.

Sadly, they probably will.

Do you know how many guys talk smack about particular airlines and then, a few hours later, ask for an employee of that airline to walk their stuff in.

See it all the time at NJC. :)

It's frustrating to see a job like this. I'd love to work in that area, but having seen their planes before I knew it was probably sketchy. But to see the downright awful conditions they expect a pilot to endure just makes me a sad panda.

Lets just get one thing clear. This isn't a job posting. A job posting implies the person doing the work gets paid. This is a product advertisement, where the product they are selling you is your services, your hard earned qualifications, and your time. Anyone who buys this is a moron.

Instead of talking smack here, I hope you all have the spine to send an email to that company telling them exactly where they can find your application.

Stand up. Have some self respect and call out BS like this when you see it.

Otherwise you ARE complicit.

However I'm not sending a letter to the company and I'm not complicit!

Companies like this aren't going to change their practices based upon a letter writing campaign. They'll adjust it the moment they can't put butts in ground school seats.

Not a moment sooner.

Like I saw too many people talk smack about GoJets only to disappear after being hired there. A few year go by an they're asking about employment opportunities at majors.
