New hire here. Can do math. F the bonus.I can't believe anyone is saying they would rather have a bonus than a contractual increase in pay rates. New hires need to listen here.

I don't think anyone is advocating keeping the bonus over the increased first year pay.
They are only talking about the small subset of folks that have the option of taking the bonus that had been offered to them at the time of hire or the new pay rate for whatever the remaining months they have left on first year pay. If you only have 6 months left on first year pay, taking the 10k bonus may net you more money in this case.
I think we can all agree going forward the higher pay rate is by far the most preferred method of attracting new hires and for the pilot profession in genereal
See @Adler what unions can do for you!
Those that received one or more installments of the bonus can pay it back to the company and receive the hourly boost. The hourly increase is effective as of Nov. 1st. 2015. I'd assume that's gonna be retroactive. Anyone preferring a bonus isn't paying attention.
necro-tag.
I live in base with 2 weeks left of 1st year pay.
Nice work though to @jtrain609 and crew, the hotels and pay is huge and will hopefully keep the new guys headed here.
Wasn't me. Don't you read apc? Rama04 is clearly the negotiating committee chairman, and angry about his own deal.

Wwaaaaaait a minute...just a few pages back you admonished me for mentioning something I read on APC, implying that not everything I read there was true.

I have 8 months left of first year pay. In balls to the wall mode if i were able to somehow credit 100 hours per month 10x100x8=8,000. Bonus in 10,000.
We have the choice of receiving the pay increase or sticking with the bonus. In my case the bonus makes sense.
I don't remember reading about a TA. Was this raise accomplished in section six negotiations? Or did the company come to the pilots looking to broker a deal? Good job though to all involved.
So what's this I hear about hotel reimbursement for new hires that had to pay for lodging in MSP? Part of the grievance settlement?
Our friends over at G7 are STRU-GUH-LING with the new Lufthansa software. Fifty-five cancellations yesterday and twenty-eight so far today. Hopefully they get it figured out before we have to use it.
