Life at Compass

probably going to call in sick for thursday....don't know if i can stomach the captain......he's already threatened me via text

I think I'm just going to keep it very, very simple so I get what I need. Layer 1 Off nov 5 to 9. Max days off. Layer 2 in case I get reserve, Must off nov 5,6,7,8,9, waive 2 days off for reserve. Layer 3 prefer off nov 5, must 6, 7, 8, prefer 9. Just in case I don't get a buildup. No use for any other layer. Does anything stand out as being horribly wrong with that?

So hopefully this is only a short distraction from the lovely topic that is PBS strategy, but I have a query.

I'm LAX based and have managed to find a crash pad. Now my only problem is transportation. The owner of the place says it is about a 10 minute drive to the airport, which is swell, but i just really do NOT want to drive my car all the way out there. So my plan is to use Uber to get TO the airport. Piece of cake, but how do I get OUT of the airport with Uber.

Someone suggested to me that I can just ride one of the hotel vans then catch the uber from there. Is that doable? Do the van drivers care? Really, I guess, how are you LAX commuters doing it now?

I use hotels since I do it so infrequently but I've seen some vans that say no uber/lyft riders on them. I don't see why you couldnt just get on one that doesnt say that and then order it from the hotel.

Is the pad on the south side near the old hacienda?

If so take the 232 bus or the green line.
