I gave up on non rev and just buy tickets because I make lots of money as a pilot…

Though paying for tickets it sucks to lose the flexibility of being able to just jump on any flight when meltdowns and IROPs occur to still try to get where you’re trying to go…

I normally will do the non-rev thing for like one leg, and then get stressed and buy return tickets. Probably could just buy 2-way tickets earlier on and save $$$
 
Sounds like the problem is trying to be on the Strip, which I think is doing it all wrong. Too many food options, much too much entertainment. My humble opinion is nothing uplift's a man's zest for life like a stint in a just-where-the-hell-am-I casino located conveniently next to miles of sand in every direction.

Once as a young man I drove to Vegas from California and passed by this sad casino on I-15 on the edge of town, all by itself, and wondered what lost souls stopped there rather than driving a few more minutes to the Strip. Well, some years later, when I found myself at a mandatory government conference, in Vegas, hosted by the lowest bidder, I finally knew the answer...
