It's the "Gnash Cluster Syndrome." Remember those?
Oh the old DALPA forum.
The 330's got a number of those forming.
"Keep writing up the rest seat, boys, we're up to 300! THEY'LL CHANGE IT!"
*giggle*

Man, you just opened a Costco size can of pizzed off pilot!Do you guys have pods on those or just a seat?
The lower lobe bunks were great.

They used to have bunks but the company took them out and gave us a seat instead. Ask a 330 guy that and their head will explode in anger. Although, a few aneurisms can have a positive effect on the SLI...
Are you ready for it?
It's the internet.
Thanks Obama. Thanks for nothing.
I find this comical for some reason.Alaska just announced 3 more destinations from SLC!
BOI, LAS and SFO.
Let the turf war continue!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but money wise, doesn't a Q400 destroy a CRJ700 at pretty much any distance?Oh joy...Q400's are coming to SLC...watch out SkyWest, we're taking your flying now bishes!

Also, I think a lot of these routes are even on CRJ900s which are obviously even less competitive.
Not sure I follow you. A 900 costs about the same as a 700 to operate and allows you to cram a whole lot more revenue inside. A 900 may not be competitive with a Q (although I think that is debatable based on a whole lot of other factors) but it is certainly MORE competitive than a 700 would be.
You are correct. However there's more to this. The option for first class is a biggie. Lots of business travelers want, and will pay for this. Also, I'm fairly convinced Delta has decided they can afford to do this, whether or not the CRJ is more profitable than the Q400. I think it's important to remember that Delta and Alaska are on very different scales as to what they can afford to mess around with. It will be very interesting to see what happens over the next year. Also, I think a lot of these routes are even on CRJ900s which are obviously even less competitive.
Didn't know that, just assumed it would cost more to operate. Thanks for the info. I think you're right that it's debatable. I'd be curious to see how much Delta can charge for first class seats when they aren't offered at all in the markets...
Domestic first class is a joke. Especially in a CRJ...
That they do. I remember one time being asked how much a first class upgrade would cost a couple on SFO-TUS. It came to $1300 a person. They paid it. I seriously tried to talk them out of it, "You know there is no meal service, and the seats still barely recline, right?". But they bought it. Wish I had money to throw around like that.Fair point. People still pay for it though. I know several folks that either their company always buys it when available, or they simply bill the client for that on every trip.
Is there no first class on horizon? You are correct. However there's more to this. The option for first class is a biggie. Lots of business travelers want, and will pay for this. Horizon also has some cool amenities like free beer/wine.
