Learjet 75

I had the privilege of demoing a Lear 75 last week. The new Garmin 5000 suite is really impressive. With 10% more thrust (the 45 series wasn't lacking thrust after the BR upgrade) it is a true rocketship.

As cool as flying a 20-Series? I haven't flown a 40/45 yet, but thoroughly enjoyed the 31.

As far as Lear's go I've never flown anything besides the 40 and 45. From what I hear the 45 was a real dog (by Lear standards) until the BR upgrade. In our 40 we can routinely make it FL400 in under 15 minutes...that's pretty impressive for anything that doesn't have an "F" preceding its name!

Well these days, I'm tooling around in 35's and a 36, so I can't wait to find out if the talk of us getting 45's proves to be true......

As long as it has the br engines you'll love....a lot of common sense went into the design of the 45 series.

Nice airplanes. We took delivery of two of them around the end of the year. We finally got them on our Ops Specs so we'll be flying them a lot more now. Flying one tomorrow as a matter of fact.

The 75's? Or the 45's?

I wish we would be getting some of those. We are getting a 60 and I don't want to leave the nice and easy garmin avionics suite.

So far the avionics are pretty awesome. There are a few glitches and corresponding limitations on the system at the moment, but I'm confident they'll work all of those out, and they are overshadowed by the good things. The updates in the back of the plane, especially the Lufthansa entertainment system, are pretty nice too. It's way too early to tell much, though. I probably don't even have 10 hours in them yet, so the next few months will tell a lot more.
