Lear down in PHL

I dont know a ton about fixed wing medevac ops but is it common for foreign registered birds to do intra US flying? KSGF maybe as a fuel stop?

It was filed quick turn at Springfield then on to Tijuana.
Not sure if it's relevant to passenger/patients or not, and it may be gone from flight aware
but when i looked at PNE it was not showing as the red + Lifeguard type indication.
I have no idea if that Red would show with a foreign registered aircraft

Def identified itself as medevac

For those not in the know, what’s the deal with the “Aeronca” TR?
The short version is that it is a Rube Goldberg bleed air driven cascade type thrust reverser and if not maintained properly and babied can be very troublesome. The only plus to it is once it deploys you can pull max N1 on it. You will find it on the legacy Lears powered by the TFE-731 so the 35 and 55, don't know if it found its way to the 31.

You can see it stowed in the pics in post 11, it is that short part of the nozzle with the two humps on it.

Here is an example of a Lear 35 that was lost to a failure of one of them.

I'm not wanting to speculate too much but like others here that have experience with them it was the first thing I thought of when I saw the way that thing was coming out of the sky.

Well damnit, here we are speculating. I can’t help but ask the question of the ring doorbell cam video that showed what appeared to be a fire before impact. A crappy TR design makes a lot of sense, but would that somehow cause a fire?

I kind of thought they were just the landing lights still on from takeoff?
I though the same, but this image from the ring cam clearly isn’t lights.
