Latest at Atlas?

The skillset to go from one glass cockpit airliner to another glass cockpit airliner is more similar however.

I can tell you that flying the DASH-8-100 is about as old school as it gets for the 121 world...And, I have flown the SAAB and 1900...

When e-mailing the PAC, should I put some flowery cover letter kind of message in the e-mail, or does that not get looked at?

When I submitted mine, I sent a cover letter as well. Although, I don't believe they're looked at until the interview. That said, I think it was largely a waste of time sending it w/ the PAC. So, I doubt there is any advantage to sending one w/ the PAC vs. just waiting to have it ready to go during the interview. In the grand scheme of things, I don't think it matters either way.

Ok, thanks.

AFAIK, they don't want a cover letter. Well-written rec goes further once your resume gets pulled.

No one knows what is going on. 3 days of interviews next week, called back all the 744 instructors & adding more.

A couple guys whose titles are Cxx's were incommunicado for a week or so.

How does the base/gateway thing work? I guess an easier question to ask is if I'd have to move out of the Boston area.

You have a base. They buy you a ticket from an airport close to you, your gateway, to your base. This time spent is not considered work or duty

Yes you are free to move somewhere nicer. ;-)

So my base is assigned, or bid for, but I can pick my gateway? Not a bad deal, I guess.

I actually live in NH, but it's easier to say "Boston area".

Thanks for the info.

Yes, normal airline base bidding.

Probably can fly out of NH.
