My advice would be to:
1. Make sure you hold your Vref speed consistently on final.
2. Lock in your sight picture and hold it exactly in the same spot in the windshield (I use the numbers).
3. Remember that Vref (if you are using that) is considerably higher than Vso, which is the airspeed the airplane will touch down with flaps.
4. At the round out and flare, just concentrate on holding the plane in ground effect with idle power. Don't go directly into the flare or you will balloon.
5. Hold the plane off the runway as long as possible. This will ensure touchdown at minimal airspeed. This will result in a natural flare as you must pull back on the yoke to hold off touchdown (only add aft elevator to counter sink or you will balloon).
Your job once you've made it to the numbers is to set idle power and fly straight and level. The plane will land on it's own. Remember the higher your airspeed, the longer your drift will be before touchdown so be disciplined on final and make corrections for alt. and a/s promptly.
