Last time I checked the pt6 has the most pilot interaction on the start. Turn the knob to "start" is all I do, and it starts every time, with no gpu.Yeah, it's easier to wear out the brakes when the engines actually start so you can fly a second leg.![]()
I just left a A100 Gig. other than it being a pig and slow its typical beechcraft it doesnt care about ICE I flew it through a ton and it just keeps smiling just pop the boots and it does fine! No real quirks to the pratts they are what they are! The lack of mechanical trim.

I consider myself a step above your average knuckledragging greasemonkey but when I first popped the cowling on our new Garret equipped Caravan I felt like Fred freaking Flintstone.It's definitely important to have mechanics with a triple digit IQ if you're flying a TPE...course I prefer to be around the intelligentsia anyway...
