When I went through initial out here, we still did a pool day. Not sure when they stopped, but it's not a thing anymore.

We did our's towards the very end of our training footprint and for the week leading up to it my Sim partner (who had just gone through a bad breakup) was talking about how awesome it was going to be. The class before us had done a combined pool day with the new hire FA class going through and that's all he could talk about.

Fast forward to pool day, and it's just the three of us from my class huddling together in a pool in the pouring rain, glaring at my poor sim partner.

We did pool day with the new hire FA class. There were a lot of us that day. One of the guys in my class dropped his wedding ring in the pool towards the very end. It was of our duty of course to give him a hard time about it.

We did ours in uniform so we could feel what it would be like. Definitely a good workout trying to stay afloat.

It's not supposed to be fun, and I think realism is important, but I'm guessing some of these companies are just checking a box for their insurance company. My friend said most of his classmates all stayed at the same hotel. I asked him if anyone ever actually wore pants, he said only checking in or checking out and only if it was winter.

Did one as a civie, but I can't remember where it was.
That's why I was asking.
