Anyone seen this yet? My question is how would they know if I'm traveling international?
So what you are saying is to always carry a sharpie???Well, sometimes they form a gauntlet in the jetway and start inspecting boarding passes and seat request cards. When pads go through security, the checker marks the BP. When you hand them one that hasn't been marked, they are gonna ask which lane you went through and at what time and then go pull the video feed.
When they see you went through KCM instead, they'll use that as one more data point to shut the whole thing down, and then we'll be forced to hunt you down for screwing it up for everyone else!
Or, you can just comply with the rules.

Y'all make good points. I'm just passing on what i had a TSA neighbor tell me when I asked him how they would know.
FWIW, I don't really care one way or another if you choose to comply or not. That said, if KCM gets shut down because of guys not following the rules, I will form a vigilante group to hunt down and punish, with extreme prejudice, any and all scofflaws! Anyone wanna volunteer to join?

Why not just keep randomly screening people? That seems to be working.
Agreed, however in certain places this is another issue completely. In Seattle, there's nothing random about it. My bags have gotten searched 100% of the time I've gone through KCM for the last 6 months. And it's not just me getting pulled out of line, they have someone waiting there every day. I have no problem at all with getting randomly selected to go through screening but if there are any more than about 3 people going through at once (happens all the time) it really backs things up and makes it such that KCM isn't really saving any time.
I don't mind that. Mine was searched today in ORD. For me it's not really about time though, but more getting all my crap out, finding my laptop, etc. At least with a random search you just hand them your crap and stand back.
I think KCM should be for flight crew. Not for cabin crew. Most of the problems I've witnessed are always with the cabin crew.
