Karma

I can understand CaptBill's sentiments, considering the circumstances of what happened with him, but I think it's a bit crass for anyone else to be taking such joy in the possibility of someone else's career coming to an end, regardless of what you felt about that person.

@Derg finally got what he had coming????

What did this guy do that karma would come back and get him?

WOO HOO! I thought I didn't have anything to do today. This statement should provide even more entertainment than the "Getting Fired" thread. And I just bought a huge box of microwave popcorn from Costco. Thank you skyw82, thank you!

No one celebrates the loss of a career... It is sad beyond measure. The point of this post is that bad deeds and unprofessional behavior has a way of coming back to bite us. Without dwelling on a specific individual, take some time and reflect on how We, not him, can be better people and represent our profession in ways that will serve us well in the future. This is a lesson, not a witch hunt.

And this right here is the sort of attitude that makes the Captain here a class act.

Good to see you posting again sir.

Agreed, to a point. I'm still going to bring back my avatar from when he started this whole retarded smear campaign.

What I've learned is take a good look around you. Your social networks, your work networks, your friends, family, neighbors, etc. This is the basket of people you're going to carry with you the rest of your personal and professional life.

For better or for worse.

Velo's former company is a MUCH better place for him not being there. I understand that it sucks that somebody lost their livelihood, and I understand that those of use who have worked Grievance and Representation have seen lots of good people unfairly put in this situation, but sometimes, there are people who are deserving of what they get.

Are you sure he got fired and didnt just simply retire? Some of these old people are starting to get pretty old and maybe he didnt think an age 70 rule would come about in time for him.

I'm going to empty my basket...

FYI, I spoke to him, and he says that he just retired. I have no idea what the other side of the story is for those claiming he got fired, but since he was banned from here, I figured it only fair that someone tell his side.
