Kalitta Air Hiring

They're a group of friendly folks and will certainly work with you if you're commuting. Heck you might meet some faces over at DTW!
Quality experience going and coming from airports not normally flown to, with "stuff" not normally on board your jets. The military contracts are good for eager learners, and if you're commuting on company metal, you'll make friends at FBOs and other air cargo hangars.

As usually said on this web page, go in professionally, ready to answer whatever's asked and ready to ask whatever questions you thought. Stand out! Connie's the first 777-300ERF convert I think that's successfully certified.

Good thing starting pay is $77,500
According to the posting for the job...it starts at 50k...

I’m going to take a guess:

They probably confused Kalitta air (K4) with Kalitta charters II (K2), which starts at 50,000
Kalitta Air has a posting up. I confused the two...also, I'm never working at a place again that has the ability to tell me "dispatchers aren't required here"...so I don't know why I even felt the need to comment on this. I'm working on myself.

K4 is a part 121 supplemental, NOT a 135. You are DELEGATED operational control and are technically considered a flight follower. You still do all the functions of a dispatcher with exception of final authority. The PIC and DO have the legal say in regards to where the aircraft goes, and you can't refuse an aircraft as a flight follower. Otherwise you basically do everything else a dispatcher does and its YOUR license attached even if you are delegated a signature. Oh and the FAA is now moving forward with regulating 135 ops as of yesterday so...

Hi everyone! I have an interview with K4 coming up and was wondering if anyone had advice on what to prepare for. I figure the normal technical stuff, but wanted to know if there was anything other than that. Thanks!

Have you dispatched at a part 121 before? If so, should be similar to that interview.
