Just curious, which airlines hire direct entry captains?

thanks for starting this topic I was wondering the same... Delta hasn't responded to any of my calls or the cake that I sent... :(

On a serious note, almost no one flying Part 121 right now... except for California Pacific (maybe) because they are a start up, Cape Air (bc they fly single pilot 402s)... Colgan was back in 2007 I think

Some busier Part 135s cargo carriers will though like IBC and Sierra West...

Cape's 402s are not 121. The only aircraft they operate 121 are the ATRs out in Guam, and they don't hire direct captains for that that I know of.

Note that you will have had to have been in a four-G negative dive, in the Space Shuttle, with a MiG-25, in order to qualify.

Whoa whoa! Slow down there Cosmonaut! Everyone knows if you have 50 hours in the "dirty Dutch", you're ready to go.

OP: Over here, it isn't "DEC," we call them "Street Captains."

In the US, you're headed to the bottom of the list. Good luck on your journey home-skillet.
