I had a female FO a few months ago and the conversation was still the "Three B's".

I always say beer, boobs, and football are my favorite things. Sitting at Hooters on a layover watching my beloved Steelers during the playoffs is always nice.

And, if you don't know the history of an event, you can't comment on it with any credibility.

I was at the BoD when the UAL pilots got the contract you're referring to. That was a bribe, pure and simple, to get the UAL pilots to acquiesce to the proposed UAL/USAir merger. They did and they got the blockbuster contract. It was the DoJ that killed that merger, if you remember.

Then DAL went one better and got "UAL plus 1%." That's how Union leverage works, seagull. Its called "jacking the house."

Yes I would. And its only when he decides to opine about passenger airlines that I disregard his comments. He can talk all he wants about freight, but he never really does. I'm sure he'd disregard mine if I tried to comment on big time freight operations.

I am (was until furlough) a pilot at OH and my girlfriend is an FA there (both at JFK). We moved to SW Florida in June and B6 is always great with us. I never got to ride in the cockpit jump seats, because if I did not get a seat, there was always a F/A jump seat to use.
Since we don't have an extra F/A jumpseat on our aircraft, our F/A's cannot use any extra F/A jumpseats on DAL (which owns OH!). So, if there is no extra passenger seat, my gf can't get on DAL flights. With that same rule on DAL, a DAL pilot can ride in an extra F/A JS, but as a OH pilot, I could only use the JS in the cockpit. This rule came into play a few months back in ATL. We were trying to nonrev home from LAS and had to connect in ATL. There was one passenger seat left on the plane and I had listed as a JS because it looked tight. Along came a DAL pilot, who bumped me. The gate agent told him I was there and if he chose to, he could use the extra F/A JS and let me use the cockpit JS. He chose not to do that (it was only a 1 hr. 15 min. flight). As he got on the plane, he actually waved "bye bye" to me. We had to get a hotel in ATL and take the first flight the next day. Nice guys over there :D
 
Our grievance committee chairman just resigned because he got hired at JB. I hope he is involved in the OC the next time they try to get represented.
 
I don't know Velo. I'm just a lowly freight dog, but I think that we need those type of guys in there to help JetBlue organize! Somone has to be there to jack the house up especially since it doesn't seem like JetBlue is going anywhere anywhere soon. IMHO

Could be. I've got several friends at jetBlue that were saying they're talking about hiring this summer. This looks like that might be the case if they're having a class in March.
