The post below is from APC forums and posted here by request. I doubt there are any JB pilots here that haven't heard of it but here it is anyway.

The final push for in-house organization has begun.
Januay 14th there will be a JBPA meetin in JFK to approve the interim leadership, constitution, Policy Manual and Marketing campaign.

Improvements need to be made in all areas, from job security to compensation, Health care , retiement.... you know the deal.

be there or listen in, lend a hand, volunteer.
don't be led blindly by Harrison and Ford ( company hired union busting firm) and their petty promies. things are not just good enough, they need to improve.

ALPA would be preferable, but any union is better than no union at all. I hope you guys make it happen.

There was an ALPA push several months ago before the whoe USAir thing and there just wasn't any interest. This is the better way to go for us.

Yeah, I was briefed on it before I left my ALPA position. I was disappointed that it didn't go forward. In a few years you'll end up merging after you realize what so many other independent unions have realized: you just can't do it yourself as well as ALPA can do it. Until then, the in-house setup will make do.

At least they finally figured out that management really didn't have the pilot's best interests at heart. Vote in JBPA and welcome aboard the jumpseat!

All pilot Unions need to work together to improve the profession for all of us.

"realize what so many other independent unions have realized: you just can't do it yourself as well as ALPA can do it."

Oh Please...

IPA is doing just fine, thanks.

Don, remember your opinion doesn't count. You are a bubble boy according to PCL and Velo.

So, if Jetblue votes in a union we don't have to listen to Velo rant on B6? That would be sweeeet....

HAHA....thanks for the explaination. Seinfeld is a great show but I don't watch that much TV. Too much time on JC and APC.

Thanks jetBlue for the ride on Christmas morning. Got to see my family on Christmas for the first time in a few years.
