jetBlue Mint... Ice Cream? Nice!!

I fully expect to see at LEAST an Azul codeshare announced soon. This will go right with their newly announce US-Brazil routes on the 330. That's a market I think WE should have cracked, but ya snooze, ya lose. As for Neeleman coming back, I'd love for that to happen. I don't think it will, even though the high seniority guys keep talking it up.

Barger will likely no longer be CEO by this time next year. My money's on Robin Hayes for that, and I'm okay with it. A VA merger, I don't feel, would be as great a fit as everyone thinks. Yeah, they fly A320s, but that's about where the resemblance ends. Configuration is different, culture is different (though not as different as, say, United or Delta). Engines are different. All of those will cost $$$ to bring in line with the rest of the fleet. They sure aren't gonna re-tool our shiny new A321s to be VA configs.

And this is news specifically because of what @ZapBrannigan pointed out. It's a local company, which is what jetBlue really tries to go for with a lot of stuff. Some of the shops in T5 are an example of that. It's local and organi, which is the buzz. If marketing DIDN'T get that out there, especially with a finnicky, yuppy New York market, they should all be sacked. Sure, other guys have been offering ice cream on transcons, but how often is it local/organic vs "these guys were the cheapest this week?"

Nah. I've always felt that way. I wouldn't have left my first career to become an airline pilot if I wanted money. :)

Even after 10 years I haven't matched my previous salary. I'll never make up that lost ground, and I couldn't be happier.

Can I ask what you were doing before? Sounds like it was a good six-figure job?

Personally, "I" don't because I just work there and any questions about specifics of service would better be answered by directing it to the company.

But I've been offered sundaes on a transcon, yes.

I've been served sundaes on American from ORD to SNA a few times. Got some great ice cream in Business on the way to DXB on Delta with a pic below. Never seen it on UAL, although the warm cookies on UAL aren't bad. The pick is from ATL-DXB.

reminds me of the current SW ad blitz....smile, We've got our passport! We are going international! Never mind 1) you can't smile In passport pics 2) your airline AirTran has already been going there 3) everyone else is already doing it and has for nearly a century............
Hate those ads! See them every day on the way to and from work as they have them on two different billboards and one of them has it on both sides!
