JetBlue and ALPA has an AIP!

I feel like this whole “pay rates don’t matter” is the new your paycheck should match the name on your plane/ the 737 sucks.

You need work rules AND pay rates. You could have SWA efficiency with UPS vacation and delta profit sharing but it doesn’t mean anything if you’re getting Skywest pay rates.

Well their credit system is very different so everyone has to get used to use to that pay rate being 20% higher than you think it is, plus the reroute pay or whatever it is.

I and everyone here understand you hated the place. Im just trying to remind guys when u start talking swa rates it's a lot higher than you think it is, plus 15-17 days off for reserve
 
I’m guessing that 190 pay won’t be 90% of airbus pay anymore....

Payrates are more important for someone doing hard time turns versus a three day with rig in it. They are both important.

I hope they get a calendar day type rig as well.

What you’re talking about only applies if you’re looking at their TFP rate. Everywhere that posts the rates online posts the hourly conversion. And that’s 15% higher, by the way, not 20%. So if someone is looking at the rate on APC, they should NOT add anything to it. That rate is already the correct hourly rate.

You should also know that you work EVERY day on reserve. It’s not like most major airlines where someone who lives in base can enjoy flying only 10 days a month. You may have 15 official days off, but you will work your ass of on those 16 days of work.

I don't think SWA hides that you go to work to work. And if a pilot is bothered by the reserve usage they definitely should stay far away from swa.

Yes, we work a lot on reserve. Much of the time day 4 of a 4 day block will be off as 70%+ of the trips are 3 days. I'll take it though. 15 off minimum in a month works out ok in my book. Contrary to your hatred of the company and some misinformation, we do have a good amount of soft pay. Reroutes and any move up pay goes to automatic premium pay. 6 TFP's/day on reserve and 6.5 TFP's/day as a line holder also guarantees that when I'm working, short days don't affect my bottom line. No PBS crap here and turning a week of vacation into 18 day off + in a row are also something to be proud of. I'm happy. I do fly a lot...many days remind me of my Republic/Compass days, but so be it.
