Jet On Fire at LAS

Problem is, it could impose Darwinism on everyone else. Save the beatings for after the evac. Seriously, I'd like to see fines imposed on all the folks carrying bags.

Good point, and in all seriousness, I think they should use the video/photos of the evac to do just that. Fines, travel restrictions, mandatory safety classes, something to punish the idiocy they displayed.

And because I'm petty, add in public and social media shaming, late-night prank calls, tax audits, and flaming poo on their doorsteps.

Nothing will change in that regard, until people get killed.

And even then, nothing will likely change.

You're right.
I'd like to believe that people would look at the fatalities that *will* occur because of this and rethink their actions while on an aircraft.
But then reality kicks in and I remember most people be like:

Breaks my heart that I couldn't find any selfies. Although this kind hearted and selfless woman took full advantage of this incredible opportunity to document this event for all of mankind:

Don't put yourself out by helping at the bottom of the slide or anything. Don't want to inconvenience you.

Not to change the topic, but I'm gonna change the topic...Are BA FA's required to wear vests until they're airborne, or do they have to put them on while evacing?

Referenced by the man who keeps looking for me in airport restroom stalls for some strange reason. BOOM! I just went there! Did you feel it? Hell, even @Polar742 felt dat one! :)
I looked once. Funny is you have asked others if I'm there (other airports) and a few times I have been!!

Lol! While being documented herself by the twit behind her. The human condition... like seeing infinity in opposing mirrors ... except that our big flesh-bag heads get in the way!

I got the joke without the video, and quite liked it. But in all seriousness, what's better, the way the pilots voice remainded so calm it the Captains suit??

Are you sure you didn't get the wrong pic? Isn't that the 60's Paedophile BBC Celeb?? Or does everyone of a certain age in Briton dress like Austin Powers?

BTW, kudos to this chap, whatever his sartorial predilections.

On the suit, that was clearly the only public pic the media could find. He's pictured with the Rugby World Cup at the club Harlequins, and those are the club's colours he's wearing.

In the UK, traditions of brightly coloured sports club colours are strong. He'd wear that on a Saturday afternoon at the rugby, but no other time.
