Jet Blue fined

You still think the leopard (presently sharpening claws and teeth) won’t eat your face.

The previous admins, both Ds and Rs, have allowed the big 4 to control 85% of the capacity of this country. And the remaining 15% were left screwed behind. They either have to consolidate (HAVE to) or go out of business. It really is that simple. And the Biden admin did no favors. AS/HAL took a long time to get the nod. Even after the DOJ review, the DOT stalled on their end.

Sorry, but I’m not a big fish. I’m in that 15% remaining. Your interests at Delta are not the same as mine. The big 4 got theirs and pulled the ladder up.

Yes! Can’t wait till corporations run rampant, and the Oval Office turns into eBay. Let’s bring back subprime mortgages, get rid of the EPA, FDA, and FAA, and everything else that ends with an A.
For sale: Federal Government.

Don’t forget the DoE.

We have entire regulations because of that airline.
At least 6 hours stuck on the ramp in an A320 with DirectTV was better than being stuck in one without it?

They did openly sand bag flights exponentially more than other carriers. I never said anything if it was going on under my control, but ground would get pissed. Always wondered what was up with that, as with any other carrier they'd almost always hustle up when their ops would pass on they're about to turn into potatoes. B6 would straight up be like "Hey can we go sit somewhere....uh....for like (however many mins until they time out) minutes please"? or "We aren't going to leave the ramp just move us how you need to". With ground they'd be rolling under 5 knots to 1R with a congaline behind, then like clockwork they'd ask to cross 1R and hold on Lima and sit there until time out next to the active runway. Bold.

Granted, for reasons outlined in this thread, SFO-BOS/JFK was often 6-9 hours late with ATC delays in the winter and summer during frequent weather events. We'd have 10+ A321s on the ground just to operate those 2 routes by the evening. Of course it would effect UA/AA/DL ect; but they'd actually depart. Always made me wonder what shady stuff B6 must have been putting those crews thru vs the legacies. You'd think the airline would practically be expecting fatigue calls at that point.

What’s goin on? I need to bid some TX overnights, haven’t been there in ages.
Texans are some of the least free people in the country. We are surrounded by states that have casinos and some version of legal weed, meanwhile Texans suffer under a loony right theocracy.

There are some useless agencies in the govt that could go away. Not necessarily the ones you quoted, but there are a few.

If a mother dumps her baby into a dumpster, is she really a mother? Shrugs.

Technically dont we just call this a post birth abortion? Why are you so up in arms about it? The end result is the same. The woman no longer has a baby to care for, the kid isn’t in the system reliant on the state to take care of it and the kid is dead regardless. I’m not sure where the problem is for you. These are all the things you advocate for by legalizing abortions of convenience. Unless you’re suggesting this new uptick in abandonments is all rapes and incest babies. And if so are incidents of rapes and incest up because of republican policies as well?

Are these upticks in abandonments(sorry, post birth abortions) happening in counties or cities that by a majority vote red? That’s what we call a rhetorical question.

Because these events could be minimized by simple public health precautions. I live in the DFW area, and planned parenthood has been decimated. Our religious nut jobs running the state think that if you eliminate clinics that provide women with birth control will lead to abstinence, instead reality says that babies will end up in dumpsters. Being a pregnant woman in Texas is more dangerous than being a police officer, weird thing to think about.
